My Travel Art Bag

Hi everyone!

Here’s a peek into what I carry in my traveling art bag. I am using a make-up bag that I purchased at Target on clearance. I haven’t seen this bag since then, but there are so many different styles and shapes of make up bags available that would work wonderfully as a travel art bag, so keep your eyes out and think art supplies when you’re looking at the bags, not make up. 🙂

I work in my collage journal, Midori book, and Moleskine glue books when I’m out and about, which is quite a lot now that school has started back up and dance will be starting next week. So, this travel kit is full of supplies that I use in those journals. You can very easily customize this to using what works best for you. Make up bags are so wonderful because they have lots of compartments, pockets and sometimes even elastic bands to hold make up brushes and those can be used to hold pencils, etc. The zipper pockets in this make up bag are wide enough to hold color pencils and markers. I also keep scissors in my bag….I can’t remember now if those where in there when I was going through the contents. 😉

For amazing Midori journaling inspiration, please visit TheLittleInk. I love how she uses the distress stains to color her pages and I have started using that technique as well.

Here’s the link to her plalylist channel for her Midori books but be sure to watch her other videos because she’s an amazing art journaler!
